Hi!

Kordon 1.5 is here for you. This release marks the beginning of some significant enhancements that we have planned for the near future. Who knows, we might even be gearing up for a 2.0 release of Kordon!

Enjoy!

Kordon

New Features

  • 🚀 Public API Version 1:
Kordon now has the ability to communicate with other machines through its public API. You can generate API keys linked to a specific user, allowing any actions performed via the API to be logged under that user. Alternatively, you can create Bot API keys assigned to a specific role—currently, you can select either a regular user or an admin, with additional roles coming soon.

To access the API, please contact us for the documentation.

  • 🔧 Custom Fields:
We’ve added the ability to create custom fields for all objects. These custom fields are also accessible via the API. Future updates will include different types of custom fields.

Improvements

  • 🖼️ Revamped Detail Views:
You’ll notice a refreshed layout for detail views—this is just the first of many changes. Upcoming updates will bring inline editing, a new editor, and a detailed changelog.

Bug Fixes

  • 🐞 Editing Restrictions:
Editing is now disabled for completed one-time tasks. While it’s unlikely you’d want to, we noticed it was theoretically possible—so we fixed it!
  • 🚫 Task Completion Form Visibility:
We’ve improved the user experience by hiding the task completion form from users who are not authorized to complete the task. No more unnecessary noise!
  • 🖋️ WYSIWYG Editor Fixes:
While we prepare to switch to a new editor, we’ve resolved several bugs with the current one to better meet the “what you see is what you get” (WYSIWYG) promise. The editor is now more reliable and consistent.
    • 📋 Sublists & Text Formatting Stability:
Sublists will no longer disappear after saving.
    • Text formatting for Normal, Huge, and Large text will remain intact after saving.
    • Texts that are links are now blue
  • E-ITS requirement CON.1.M4 moved from Standardmeetmed to Põhimeetmed

API and Panel Icons by etn-ccis via SVG Repo (MIT). Modified.
